Shohei Ohtani Scratched as Dodgers’ Starting Pitcher, Emmet Sheehan Taking the Mound vs Pirates

The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to get back on track following a disappointing 9-7 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday.

Right-handed pitcher Shohei Ohtani was scheduled to take the mound for LA coming off his longest outing of the season. However, Emmet Sheehan is the listed starting pitcher, per the team’s lineup announcement.

Opposite Sheehan will be Pirates right-hander Braxton Ashcraft (4-2, 2.58 ERA), who’s enjoying an impressive rookie season. The Dodgers are deploying a right-handed heavy lineup against the right-hander Ashcraft.

  1. Wow, impressive changes, yet you still let people post on year’s old articles, which is a colossal waste of time. Maybe tweak that next?

    New look here, same look Dodgers after today’s debacle, losing 3-0. That means a snappy 1 – 4 in their last 5 games against teams with losing records. They are trying to not make the playoffs. I’m sure Roberts will come out with pithy meaningless comments meant to fool the media into complacency, you know, like the team is playing. On the verge of getting swept again. This is baffling.
