So Maybe the Dodgers Aren’t as Perfectly Built as we Wanted? | Blue Heaven Podcast
As the boys in blue struggle, the Blue Heaven boys dig into a whole lot going wrong for the Dodgers. After a rough series against the Padres where, yes, LA was outplayed, we’ve quickly learned that the club’s vaunted depth is not as great at the third or fourth string level.
The bullpen has struggled mightily, punctuated by the loss of a 6 run lead on Sunday. And the bench is really, really bad — a symptom of the many injuries the team has suffered early. But perhaps most concerning is manager Dave Roberts falling back into bad habits without the DH in the NL.

Any team that has 8 players that hit around 250 and below in the line up will have a problem scoring runs. We all knew Jansen was wore out and not dependable as a Closer. What’s Price’s excuse This time? Looks like the failure to get a solid right handed 2nd basemen that could hit is backfiring. Pollock has been a big disappointment supplying nothing. Mookie isn’t stealing bases or hitting like he’s being paid. Seager hasn’t been hitting like the MVP we saw. The Pen doesn’t have a lights out left hander, or a reliable closer. It’s about time Roberts and mngt quit coddling this team and start making them act like Champions instead of giving them a pillow every time they feel bad. What’s up with Kelly? Either get him in the line up or trade him. They let graterol pull a Orlando Pace. This team including Roberts looks as if they all have entitlement champion itis, and acting like abunch of primaddonnas …..The starting pitching,Trienen Alexander and JT have been the ONLY solid players so far. It’s a long season and there’s time to change. But if the Dodgers don’t change including Roberts, it’s gonna be painfulwatching the Padres in October.
Kirk, I said this before about Roberts”
Some managers have what it takes
And some managers just have excuses!!!
Same goes for this team.
