Joe Wieland threw two scoreless innings for the Dodgers, needing just 22 pitches to retire all six batters he faced. The Dodgers got the leadoff man on base in consecutive innings on an A.J. Ellis double and a Matt Carson single, but were unable to score either of them.

David Aardsma entered the game in the top of the seventh, and the quick innings continued. After an error by third baseman Alex Guerrero, Aardsma got a double-play ball to second to end the inning. Aardsma needed just 10 pitches.

Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes led off the bottom of the seventh with a triple. Erisbel Arruebarrena was then hit by a pitch and Buck Britton walked to load up the bases with one out. The Dodgers were unable to capitalize though, as Carson and O’Koyea Dickson both struck out to end the inning.

Paco Rodriguez struck out the side in the top of the eighth for his inning of work.

In the bottom half of the inning, the Dodgers were able to tie the game on a home run by Scott Schebler. Alex Guerrero and Arruebarrena both struck out to end any more threat. Pedro Baez came on to pitch the ninth for the Dodgers. He tossed a perfect inning to send the game to the bottom of the ninth.

Britton got a one-out single, but it was erased on a strikeout/caught stealing double play and the Dodgers tied for the second day in a row.
