Andy Pages Could Join Dodgers This Summer After Impressive Spring Performance
Will Andy Pages finally make his MLB debut this season?
Signs are pointing to yes, particularly after Pages put in an impressive Spring Training performance before he was sent back down to the minor leagues. Per USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, the Dodgers’ outfield prospect has impressed scouts and has a chance at joining the Dodgers in the summer.
This isn’t necessarily a surprise, but another good sign that Pages will get called up. Previously, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he wouldn’t be surprised to see Pages debut in 2024.
During his seven games in Cactus League action this spring, Pages saw 17 at-bats. He took full advantage of these opportunities, hitting .471 and recording eight hits, nine runs, two home runs and nine RBIs. Along with his hitting, Pages showed off a strong arm in the outfield.
After missing most of the 2023 season due to a shoulder injury, Pages faced the burden of proving his power stroke at the plate could return. When healthy, Pages saw 112 at-bats in the minor leagues last year — a fraction of the 400+ he had the two years prior. In those 112 at-bats, Pages hit .277 with 25 home runs and three home runs.
Of course, Pages’ opportunities on the Dodgers are limited because the Dodgers already have plenty of strong outfielders. Pages will likely get an opportunity if there’s an injury. The Dodgers’ first call to Triple-A could also be for Miguel Vargas, a more experienced professional who made his debut in 2022.

I love Pages, I can’t wait to see him gunning runners down with that cannon of a arm from right field. Plus I already know his bat is for real. Average and power from the right side. He is the clean up hitter of the future for the Dodgers.
Teoscar and Jason Heyward have one-year contracts. Replacing one of them next year with a minimum-salary, young player (Pages) would be helpful toward keeping the payroll from ballooning to $400 million, and thus help towards signing Soto or Sasaki or both. Will Vargas be playing left field this year at OKC, or 3B, or both, to prepare him for another shot at the big league club in 2025 or 2026? They need some minimum-salary players or low-salary players (Lux) to balance out the very high-salary players.
That’s where I’m at too: 2025 outfield will be Vargas LF, Outman CF, and Pages RF. All three are under team control for years to come. Allows them to redirect dollars to more pitching, mainly Sasaki. I’m also wondering how long they keep Muncy, and which prospect could replace him in 2025 as well….
