Dodgers Foundation Announces Pull Up Neighbor Tour Launching Today

The Dodgers Foundation announced today the first of many events as part of the Pull Up Neighbor tour. It will launch this Saturday in Compton at Gonzalez Park, where the LADF just launched another Dreamfield this week.

More information on the event can be found from the Dodgers below:

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF), in partnership with Pull Up Neighbor, will distribute resources to youth and families including but not limited to food boxes provided by the Los Angeles Regional Bank, hygiene essentials, water, books, Dodger items, face masks donated by Elixir Therapeutics and vaccine information to encourage residents to get their shots when they qualify.

The event on Saturday will be the first stop of 10 stops in an effort to provide support to communities of color. The Dodgers Foundation hopes to provide direct resources to these communities coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Future stops through June will include events in the San Fernando Valley, Long Beach, South East LA, Watts, the Inland Empire, Wilmington, and Inglewood. The Dodgers Foundation are partnering with the City of Compton, Compton Advocates, YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, Khmer Girls in Action, ThinkWatts, LAUSD South Mid-City CommUNITY of Schools, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, and the City of Rancho Cucamonga.

This tour has been made possible by a $50,000 grant received by  Pull Up Neighbor, a Black-led community response nonprofit organization. Their focus is on the health and well-being of minorities and vulnerable communities around the region. All of this information comes courtesy of the Los Angeles Dodgers

The Drive-thru distribution begins at 11 a.m. and will run through 2:00 p.m. local time. The peak hours are expected to be sometime around the opening of the tour.
