Learn From Sports With Dodgers Nation: Math Week!

At Dodgers Nation, we understand it’s an incredibly tough time in the world right now. People are out of work, students are stuck at home, and the game we love is on hold. But that doesn’t mean we can’t all learn together!

If you have kids at home struggling to get involved with work that you or the teacher has provided, we have some solutions for you. We get it, zoom calls eventually become quite tedious for kids, and it’s easy to get distracted when you’re at home.

MoonshotMath.com is a free website that allows parents and teachers to create Dodgers specific math worksheets. Best of all, these Dodgers worksheets use real game data!

It’s pretty simple for any parents looking to create worksheets for their kids. The first step is to decide if you want a team specific worksheet or a player-specific worksheet. In this case, I chose a worksheet based on Clayton Kershaw’s stats.

The next step is deciding the difficulty of the questions and the type of questions included. Want to work on some multiplication? Select that option and the sheet will throw it in. Want to get better at division too? Select that box and the sheet will generate questions for both!

It’s nothing fancy or over the top, but it’s certainly an easy way to get kids more interested in the work they are doing. It’s tough to be a kid at home, so we hope that this helps!
