Clayton Kershaw: Registering another dominant start last week against the Giants, Kershaw is making a strong case to retain his Cy Young Award.

In a complete-game effort, he allowed just one earned run and seven baserunners (six hits, one walk) while tying his career high of 15 strikeouts. It was his 15th career win against San Francisco and his season ERA continued its fall to 2.18, with his FIP dropping to 2.03.

Zack Greinke: In arguably his biggest start of the season, Greinke was lights out once again.

Totaling 7.1 innings, he allowed just five hits and one earned run while striking out five. In the process, he lowered his Major League-best ERA to 1.59 and WHIP to 0.85.

Chase Utley: Since being acquired by the Dodgers, Utley’s presence is already making a huge impact on the club.

In 26 plate appearances (five starts), he reached base safely 11 times (eight hits, three walks) and accumulated five extra-base hits, including two home runs and three doubles. With the nice week, his slash line as a Dodger improved to .250/.350/.500.
