Tweets Of The Night: Andre Ethier Injured In Dodgers 4-2 Loss
On Magic Johnson bobblehead night yesterday, the Dodgers needed extra innings to defeat the San Francisco Giants. Adrian Gonzalez delivered the walk off single in the 10th inning and lowered the Dodgers magic number to five.
On the hill tonight for the Dodgers was ace Clayton Kershaw and he was in search of his 15th win of the season. Kershaw’s record doesn’t tell the whole story as he has a microscopic 1.90 ERA, but hasn’t had much run support.
Madison Bumgarner was on the mound for the Giants tonight and he’s been one of the few brights spots this season for the defending champions. Bumgarner has an ERA of 2.80, but he hasn’t had a won since August 2 against Tampa Bay.
Hanley Ramirez, Carl Crawford and last nights hero Adrian Gonzalez weren’t in the starting lineup against the tough lefty. The Dodgers main concern is Ramirez, who left last night with hamstring tightness, but it was revealed before the game that he has an irritated nerve in his back.
