UPDATE: Dodgers: Hernandez’s Surgery Successful
As was widely reported Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning, the Los Angeles Dodgers released a statement on outfielder and utility player Enrique Hernandez’s impending surgery.
Via their official Twitter account, the Dodgers say the surgery was successful.

There were never any expected issues that anyone would’ve predicted in the minor surgery so it comes as no surprise Hernandez will make a full recovery and be ready in plenty of time before Spring Training.

For Kike, the focus shifts to recovery and preparation to fight for an everyday job come Spring.
For the Dodgers, however, their plate is spilling over with news dropping Wednesday that Zack Greinke has opted out of his contract and their continued search for a manager.
With this surgery behind them, though, the Dodgers can quote Forest Gump and say: “One less thing.”
