UPDATE: Dodgers’ Puig Pushed Sister, Sucker-Punched Bar Manager

Alleged details are coming in from an incident involve Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig in a Miami nightclub that ended with a manager punched and Puig bruised.

Again, this is all alleged and there’s nothing we can do as we await further detail from everyone involved — including some kind of police report.

ICYMI: Dodgers Are Prioritizing Greinke Over All Other Free Agents

This is all via TMZ Sports (so take it with a grain of salt):

We spoke with employees at Blue Martini in Miami, who tell us Puig was drinking with his sister Wednesday night when they got into a heated argument … and things escalated when he pushed her.

Bar staffers immediately rushed over to break it up, but Puig turned on them … getting physical with several staffers.

The crew was eventually able to get Puig outside where they say he brutally sucker punched the manager, setting off a brawl.

Several staffers rushed in to help … jumping all over Yasiel until he was restrained.

The MLB instituted a new domestic violence policy and, given this situation, Puig might find himself the subject of the example set for the rest of the league.

Between action taken by the league or the Dodgers, all we can hope is that Puig learns his lesson. Eventually, all the excuses can be made for him, but at some point he’ll need to grow up. We can only hope this is the impetus.
