Urias Optioned Back to Minors, Fien Called up
Giving up three runs in his major league debut, Julio Urias was optioned back to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Dodgers have called up right-handed reliever Casey Fien. The 32-year-old righty will wear No. 50 on the mound will be replacing designated outfielder James Ramsey on the roster.
Dodgers picked up Fien off waivers from the Twins on May 7. Over the past three seasons, he appeared in 208 games for the Twins. His best season was in 2013 when he went 5-1 with a 3.92 ERA and 1.02 WHIP, striking out 72 batters and walking 12.
Fein will be coming off his last start at Fresno (Astros) where he allowed one hit in 0.2 innings pitched.
Dodger fans are expecting a strong right-handed reliever to come out of the bullpen after the 6-5 heartbreak loss against the Mets last night. Management is hoping he will be a great addition to the bullpen.
Julio Urias Debut vs MetsSpoke to @theteenager7 today. He's been optioned back to @okc_dodgers. In great spirits. I'm still waiting to hear corresponding move.
