VIDEO: Dodgers Playing Soccer Prior To Game At Dodger Stadium

[new_royalslider id=”200″] With the World Cup entering the knockout stage, soccer fever consumed much of the world as citizens hang on to every hope their country will be this year’s champion.

Interest at the World Cup has extended to the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have been photographed watching various soccer matches prior to taking the field for their game. One country of particular interest for multiple Dodger players is Mexico.



Yasiel Puig, a Cuban native and Mexican citizen, has posted photographs on Instagram of he and Adrian Gonzalez supporting Mexico. Prior to the second of their four-game series with the St. Louis Cardinals, some players were kicking the ball around.

The Dodgers have some reason to feel loose — they’re 8-2 in their last 10 games, have been much more consistent and are now just two games behind the San Francisco Giants in the NL West standings. Courtesy of the Dodgers’ Vine account, here’s video of the players working on their soccer game:
