Video: Former Giants Closer Brian Wilson Excited To Join Dodgers

As the Dodgers have maintained during the weeks leading up to today’s trade deadline, they were looking to add another piece to their bullpen.

Yesterday, the team agreed to terms with former Giants closer Brian Wilson on a deal for the remainder of the season as he’ll report to the minor leagues for a couple weeks.



Wilson has been out of baseball for the last 15 months or so due to multiple Tommy John surgeries, but reportedly looked good in workouts last week at UCLA.

It sounds like Wilson turned down other lucrative offers to play with the Dodgers as general manager Ned Colletti drafted him out of college during his time with the Giants.

Yesterday, cameras from TMZ caught up with Wilson after the signing was official and he discussed why he chose the Dodgers among a whole host of topics.
