Video: Orel Hershiser Talks About Coming Back To Dodgers, 2014 Season

Orel HershiserYesterday afternoon the Los Angeles Dodgers officially announced the launch of their new channel SportsNet LA will take place on February 25 and unveiled their broadcast teams for the upcoming season.

Several former Dodgers including Jerry Hairston Jr., Nomar Garciaparra and Orel Hershiser will have various roles on the channel. Garciaparra will be on the radio side and Hershiser will be on TV with Charlie Steiner when Vin Scully isn’t calling games. Hairston Jr. will partake on the pre/postgame coverage while Alanna Rizzo from MLB Network will be the sideline reporter on road games outside California and Arizona.



Hershiser joins the group after several years at ESPN and should be a welcome addition to the road broadcast team. While at Dodger Stadium yesterday, the 55-year-old former Dodger talked about the new ownership group restoring old Dodgers traditions and what he forecasts for the team in 2014.
