A healthy Adrian Gonzalez has been a good addition for the Dodgers with the absence of Cody Bellinger. This was Adrian Gonzalez’s first home run since his return from the DL, and he made it count! Yasmani Grandal followed Gonzalez with a home run of his own putting the game out of reach from the Pirates.
Grandal has had a solid year this year, boosting his average from .228 last year to .262 this year with 17 home runs so far. Grandal and Barnes have made quite the impressive partnership behind the plate, however, Grandal’s contract ends at the of this year, and the questions are being asked about his return.
