The Los Angeles Dodgers made national headlines this week for their triple-A team’s behavior issues. In the middle of an Albuquerque Isotopes game, Miguel Olivo bit Alex Guerrero’s ear off during a fight that broke out in the team’s dugout. Guerrero was rushed into plastic surgery and Olivo was suspended before eventually being released from the roster.
The team also made a handful of roster moves following Hyun-Jin Ryu’s return from the disabled list. As the lefty made his start against the New York Mets, Chris Withrow was optioned to triple-A. In addition, with Juan Uribe’s placement on the DL, Erisbel Arruebarrena was called up for the first time in his career.
