What Keeps Dodgers Fans Anxious About the Postseason?
Now, we’re all well aware of how dominant the Dodgers have been this 2022 season. The team set a new franchise record of 111-51, led the league for the lowest team ERA of 2.80, and scored the most runs (847) amongst all 30 teams. But all that means nothing if they can’t finish the season with a ring.
We asked fans what they’re most worried about going into the postseason and here are some of the responses.
Bats go cold… simple as that

Offense goes through a cold spell. Pitching should be good, and I like the offense, but postseason baseball is unpredictable.

We’ve seen this happen a few times this season where our pitching staff puts out a phenomenal performance yet the Dodgers’ offense is just unable to make contact with the ball.
For example, in Anderson’s latest performance where he produced 10 strikeouts across his 6 innings, he still collected a loss because the bats failed to show up.
So, I agree. When the Dodgers are on, they’re absolutely terrifying, especially through the top of their lineup led by All-Stars Mookie Betts, Trea Turner, and Freddie Freeman.
Bullpen!!! Nothing worse than the bottom of the 9th with a 1 run lead, I fear that scenario.

This is also a valid concern as the Dodgers have still yet to name who their closer will be for the postseason after demoting Craig Kimbrel. Could Roberts change his mind and bring the experienced pitcher back or does he plan to utilize players like Treinen and May who are just returning from some injuries?
But then, you also have fans who have full faith that their team will come out on top and get their perfect ending to an incredible season.
No fear. Our team is amazing and works together throughout each game. Full disclosure, my fear is that I won’t be able to afford to come to a game. ??????????????

Nothing – I fully expect them to win the WS. This team seems ready.

The Dodgers have put in the work and have proved they’re the team to beat this October but they’ll just have to make sure to take it one game at a time, inning by inning and not get sloppy or gassed out by the end such as last year.

The last decade of great teams year after year during the regular season but don’t close it down and win the World Series Championship… it’s hard to win but still the odds have not worked in favor of LAD… hopefully the can win it all and other teams can STFU 🙂

Off topic; why is 1 playing 5 and 2 playing 6?
Because MLB is dumb. They don’t reseed after each round. Never understood their reasoning either
Only thing I’m worried about is the Dodgers coming out sluggish. Seems like a month since they have played. On top of that, they really haven’t played meaningful game all year long.
This is what I’m afraid is going to happen. The Dodgers owned the Padres this year. The Padres emptied the bank to get a bunch of talent before the trade deadline and so far it hasn’t panned out. The Padres barely made it into the post season. Now, the Padres beat the supposedly unbeatable Mets (because the Mets were supposed to have the best two pitchers in the game) and did it easily. The “experts” pick the Dodgers to win this series but I’ve seen it many times before when the supposed giant in the game gets taken down by a small stone from a little guy. The Dodgers bats have gone stone cold over the last month, only showing signs of their potential in one or two games. This last series against Colorado proves this out. My fear? The Dodgers let this series go a full 5 games only to blow their entire season because they couldn’t find the will to get that hit when they needed it.
