In addition to the Giants and Yankees, the New York Mets are reportedly out of the sweepstakes.

Who’s Still in the Roki Sasaki Sweepstakes?

As of this writing — and based on who Sasaki met with — the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, Toronto Blue Jays, and Texas Rangers appear to be in the Sasaki sweepstakes.

When Will Roki Sasaki Sign in MLB?

Sasaki is expected to sign after the next international signing period begins on Jan. 15. His posting window expires on Jan. 23, so he’ll have to sign before then or go back to Japan for another season.
