Dave Roberts Names Standout Prospects from Spring Training

Los Angeles Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts listed James Tibbs III, Zach Ehrhard and Chris Campos as standout players this spring.

The Dodgers finished atop the Cactus League in 2026, partly due to the trio of prospects’ efforts.

Tibbs had the better offensive stats between himself and Ehrhard, though it wasn’t by much. He hit four home runs and recorded 11 RBIs this spring, posting a 1.074 OPS through 22 games.

An outfielder and a first baseman, Tibbs featured in the Dodgers’ Spring Breakout game Saturday and reached base in all four of his plate appearances to earn himself a spot on the All-Spring Breakout First Team.

Ehrhard also played in 22 games, posting a .871 OPS. While he didn’t hit any homers, he had eight RBIs and managed eight extra base hits: Five doubles and three triples.

Tibbs and Ehrhard arrived with the Dodgers at the same time, coming from the Boston Red Sox in the trade which sent Dustin May to Beantown at the trade deadline last season.

Campos, on the other hand, has spent his entire professional career with the Dodgers, and could quickly rise through the system if he continues producing results as he did throughout the spring. He made seven appearances and allowed just one run through 10 innings pitched. He also had 12 strikeouts and converted his only save opportunity.

When Can Dodger Fans Expect These Star Prospects in MLB?

Of the three players, Campos is the sole player ranked outside of the Dodgers’ Top 30, and therefore doesn’t have an ETA listed on MLB’s website. He has very steadily worked his way up the ladder in his four-year career, though, and could find himself an opportunity within the next couple of seasons if he continues to pitch well.

Tibbs (Dodgers No. 11 prospect) and Ehrhard (Dodgers No. 18 prospect) both ended last season with Double-A Tulsa, and both players have a 2027 ETA.

All three prospects have shown plenty of promise this spring, and will look to work their way up in order to assist the Dodgers on their campaign for the franchise’s first three-peat in 2026.

Which of these three prospects would you want to see play for the Dodgers in the coming season?
