The Los Angeles Dodgers hosted their annual Fan Fest event Saturday and there were so many updates!
President of baseball operations Andrew Friedman discussed the potential return of free agent Kiké Hernández.
“The door will never be closed on Kiké,” Friedman said.
Chants of “Kiké! Kiké!” erupted from the crowd at one point during Fan Fest, further highlighting the wishes of the Dodgers fanbase. General manager Brandon Gomes also reaffirmed the Dodgers are still considering signing the fan favorite, adding: “A lot of it is just making sure he and his family feel like it’s the best position for him. But we’ll have those conversations.”
Dodgers star Freddie Freeman revealed he likely won’t be participating in spring training, but should be ready to play in the Tokyo Series. Freeman is eight weeks out from surgery on his right ankle.
Shohei Ohtani is set to make his two-way player debut with the Dodgers in 2025. However, he won’t take the mound for the Dodgers until approximately May, according to manager Dave Roberts.
