Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed starter Tyler Glasnow will make his return Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves.
Tuesday marks the first game of the Dodgers’ series against the Braves, and they’ll look to get revenge following their series loss against Atlanta at Dodger Stadium earlier in the season.
Glasnow has been out since early May dealing with back spasms, and wrapped up his rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday. The right-hander made four starts on his rehab assignment, posting a 1.32 ERA through 13.2 innings of work.
He struck out 20 batters through 13.2 innings pitched, allowing just two runs to cross.
Glasnow made seven starts for the Dodgers prior to his injury, and was one of the Dodgers’ best pitchers in the early goings of the season. He struck out 49 batters in 39.2 innings pitched, posting a 2.72 ERA.

Tyler Glasnow’s Return Raises Questions for the Postseason Rotation
While Glasnow almost certainly slots straight back into the Dodgers’ rotation for the remainder of the regular season, the Dodgers’ rotation come October is a different story.
After acquiring Tarik Skubal from the Detroit Tigers, the Dodgers’ postseason rotation will likely consist of him, Blake Snell, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and either Shohei Ohtani or Glasnow. Ohtani is likely to return to the mound at some point this season, and given his track record so far in 2026, it’s hard to move him out of a starting spot.

Glasnow served as a starter in last year’s postseason, but also featured out of the bullpen later in the Dodgers’ playoff run, so he will likely play a similar role this season.
If Glasnow isn’t included in the Dodgers’ postseason rotation, he will most likely take on a piggyback role behind Ohtani, who most likely won’t be able to manage the workload he had earlier in the season given his injury.
That will entirely depend on Glasnow’s performance following his return, though, and if he manages to do well enough, he could remain a starter heading into the postseason. Before Glasnow’s start against the Braves, though, the Dodgers will look to complete a three-game sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates at home on Sunday at 1:10 p.m. PT.
