Dodgers’ Bobby Miller Breaks Silence After Scary Injury in Cactus League Opener
Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Bobby Miller has made his first comments after taking a 105.5 mph line drive to the head in the team’s Cactus League opener on Thursday.

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out,” Miller wrote on X. “Really means a lot. Scary moment I’m good! All praise to the man above can’t wait to get back on the mound.”
Miller left the game in the top of the third inning, and was able to walk off under his own power. After the game, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he was in concussion protocol and without a timetable to return.

“Certainly it was a very scary moment. From what I’ve gathered he’s gonna be under concussion protocol,” Roberts said.
“I don’t know what that means as far as going forward. Certainly it’s somewhat of a setback. … I don’t know how long this protocol lasts.”
Miller entered camp in a competition for the Dodgers’ No. 5 spot in the starting rotation with Dustin May and Tony Gonsolin. It’s hard to imagine him securing that spot now unless he has a miraculous return to the mound.
Fortunately, though, it appears Miller was able to avoid the worst. Now, he’ll just focus on getting healthy and then getting back to contributing for the 2025 Dodgers.
