Dodgers Calling Hunter Feduccia Back Up As Austin Barnes Suffers Injury

The hits keep on coming for the Los Angeles Dodgers this season. The team has already seen a massive amount of injuries across the roster and now it’s being reported that catcher Austin Barnes is hurt.

According to Dodgers Daily, catching prospect Hunter Feduccia is being called back up to the big leagues with Max Muncy and Tommy Edman. Barnes took a hard foul ball off his left toe in the third inning of Sunday’s game.

Barnes has hit .241 with one home run and eight runs batted in over 44 games this season. He has given the team a decent catching option behind Will Smith so hopefully, his injury isn’t anything too serious.

Feduccia appeared in one game for the Dodgers earlier this season against the San Diego Padres, posting one at-bat. He didn’t record anything but has played well in Triple-A.

The left-handed batter has hit .282 with six home runs and 46 runs batted in. It’s unknown how long of a stay he will have this time around but it could be his chance to prove himself to the organization.
