Los Angeles Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman expressed his happiness with the strength of LA’s pitching staff.
The Dodgers’ Opening Day roster is set, and there are plenty of arms to look out for on the roster. All-Stars like Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani headline the group, but plenty of underrated arms from last season are returning in 2026.
Pitchers with huge roles from last season like Ben Casparius, Jack Dreyer, Will Klein and others will support the Dodgers in the coming year, with even more talent elsewhere in the squad.
“I think we are breaking camp with the most talented group of pitchers one through 20 that we have ever had,” Friedman said. “Obviously, last September-October we got real exposure to how talented our starting staff was and how they kind of keyed off one another. We’re looking forward to them going out and being a huge part of our success this year.”
The Dodgers’ pitching staff had a rough run towards the tail end of the 2025 season, having their starters take on the majority of the workload in the postseason. Not much has changed in the bullpen in terms of personnel, but the addition of Edwin Diaz along with the noted improvements of players like Justin Wrobleski and Klein as well as the proven ability among players like Dreyer is a great sign for LA.

Who is on the Dodgers’ Pitching Staff?
With spring training now over, the Dodgers have their Opening Day roster for the beginning of the year.
The previously mentioned pitchers—Wrobleski, Yamamoto, Ohtani, Dreyer, Casparius, Klein and Diaz—will all be present on that roster, as well as Tyler Glasnow, Edgardo Henriquez, Roki Sasaki, Tanner Scott, Emmet Sheehan, Blake Treinen and Alex Vesia.
The Dodgers will only get better in this department as the season progresses, as they’re waiting on several players to return from injury at some point during the season.
They signed Evan Phillips in the offseason and are waiting for him to make his return later in the year, Blake Snell is still yet to come back but is due by the end of May and Brock Stewart, Landon Knack and Bobby Miller all have something to prove as well.
The Dodgers have plenty of pitchers this season, and will look to turn a past weakness into a strength as they chase down the franchise’s first three-peat in 2026.
