Dodgers Fans Speak Their Mind on Potential Cody Bellinger Reunion

The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off another successful season, having finished the regular season atop the NL West and winning another World Series.

Despite the success of the 2025 season, there are still plenty of areas to improve for the Dodgers.

One such area is the outfield. The Dodgers didn’t see much production in left field throughout the season, and Michael Conforto, who played 132 games at the position in 2025, is now a free agent. Conforto had the worst season of his MLB career with the Dodgers, posting a .638 OPS on the season after never dropping below .700 in his previous nine seasons in MLB.

With free agency now open, the Dodgers could look towards a familiar face in former MVP Cody Bellinger to fill the void.

Bellinger began his MLB career with the Dodgers, starting his career and winning the NL Rookie of the Year award with the Dodgers in 2017.

He played for the Dodgers for six years, posting a .819 OPS during his time in LA and hitting 152 home runs. In 2019, he won the NL MVP award with 47 home runs and 115 RBIs. Bellinger also had a solid 2020 season, though he had a stark fall-off in the following two years.

After leaving LA, though, Bellinger has rediscovered his form and has put together three solid seasons after his departure.

The outfielder is once again a free agent, and would fit right in to the Dodgers’ lineup.

The Dodgers Nation twitter account released a poll to see if fans would like to see Bellinger’s return, and 58.5 percent of 5,675 votes were in favor of his return.

The Dodgers already have a strong lineup, and the addition of a player who fell just short of 30 homers and 100 RBIs in 2025 would, without a doubt, be a huge upgrade for Los Angeles.

  1. Bellinger solves today’s Dodger outfield problems and tomorrow’s first base problem when Freddy calls it a day.

  2. Cody can play all OF positions and is obviously a defensive upgrade over Conforto. If Doc desires late inning defense, Bellinger can shift to CF or RF if he started game in LF.
