Dodgers Finalize Opening Day Roster For 2026 Season

Now that spring training is over, the Los Angeles Dodgers have set their 26-man roster for the beginning of the regular season.

Who is on the Dodgers’ Opening Day Roster?

Pitchers

The Dodgers’ pitchers—while not at full strength yet—are still a strong group which largely consists of right-handers. Five or six of them are starters, depending on how the Dodgers choose to use Justin Wrobleski this season.

As of Opening Day, the Dodgers’ rotation will consist of Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Roki Sasaki, Ohtani, Emmet Sheehan and Tyler Glasnow with Wrobleski also expected to feature in a starting role from time to time.

This group is subject to change as the season progresses, though, as Blake Snell is still yet to return from shoulder soreness, and Gavin Stone needs to recover from a similar issue.

As for the relievers, Ben Casparius, Edwin Diaz, Jack Dreyer, Edgardo Henriquez, Will Klein, Tanner Scott, Blake Treinen and Alex Vesia are listed as their bullpen players. The Dodgers also signed Jake Cousins to a major league deal Tuesday, but he will move to the 60-day injured list.

Catchers

The Dodgers began the offseason with three catchers, and have narrowed their numbers down to two after designating Ben Rortvedt for assignment (twice). Dalton Rushing and All-Star Will Smith will fill this role, just as they did last season.

Infielders

The Dodgers have a new mix of players in the infield this season, mostly revolving around second base.

Freddie Freeman will maintain his spot at first base and Mookie Betts will play shortstop. Max Muncy will maintain his spot at the hot corner, and will have some relief in the form of Santiago Espinal.

Miguel Rojas and Alex Freeland will split time at second base, forming a platoon which will see Rojas bat against lefties and Freeland will bat against righties.

Outfielders

The Dodgers’ outfield is extremely predictable, as their signing of Kyle Tucker put any starting position battles to bed before spring training even started.

Tucker, Andy Pages and Teoscar Hernández will start for the Dodgers, with Alex Call playing the role of their fourth outfielder. Espinal will also provide some relief in these positions.
