Dodgers Impressed By Andy Pages’ Hot Start to 2026

Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Andy Pages has been one of the few bright spots in the lineup to start the season, and people are noticing.

Pages has four multi-hit games this season through just two series, and is generating plenty of offense towards the bottom of the lineup. He has one home run and five RBIs, and is slashing .429/.429/.619 for a 1.048 OPS.

After Wednesday’s loss to the Cleveland Guardians, Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman—who is going through something of a slump himself—said he wants the team to play more like Pages starting Friday.

“Andy looks good on both sides of the ball,” Freeman said. “Hopefully the rest of us can join him on Friday.”

Manager Dave Roberts also commended Pages on his play, and is impressed with his results so far.

“He’s controlling the zone and hitting to all fields,” Roberts said. “He’s shooting fastballs.”

Pages’ performances are a great sign for the Dodgers, as the center fielder had some struggles towards the back end of the 2025 season—specifically in October. Pages played 16 games for the Dodgers during the postseason, recording just four hits in 51 at-bats with 11 strikeouts and no walks.

The center fielder has clearly turned over a new leaf this season, though, and will hope to continue contributing as the Dodgers progress through the season.

Who Else is Off to a Good Start for the Dodgers?

The Dodgers have kicked off the season with a little bit of an offensive slump, but that doesn’t mean everyone is off to a slow start.

Alex Freeland and Miguel Rojas are platooning at second base early in the season for the dodgers, and both of them have had strong showings at the plate early in the season. Freeland has a 1.083 OPS through four games this season, and already has a home run under his belt.

Rojas has also played four games, and while he doesn’t have any homers or RBIs as of yet, he has four hits through 11 at-bats and an .819 OPS.

Max Muncy has also performed well, having featured in all of the Dodgers’ games so far with a .944 OPS.

The Dodgers may not be where they want to be in terms of offensive results, but they have shown in the past they have the ability to work through slumps and continue to win games regardless of their form.

They’ll look to get back into winning form Friday, when they take on the Washington Nationals in the first game of a three-game set. First pitch comes at 10:05 a.m. PT.
