Dodgers Keep Shohei Ohtani In Lineup After Pitching Start vs. Pirates

The Los Angeles Dodgers maintained the same lineup from Tuesday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates for Wednesday’s series finale.

The Dodgers performed well for the first several innings of Wednesday’s game against the Pirates, but they allowed eight runs through the final three innings of the game and ultimately lost to set up a rubber match on Thursday.

Shohei Ohtani pitched in Wednesday’s game, but the Dodgers kept him in the lineup despite recently letting him rest the day following a start on the mound.

Who is Starting for the Dodgers?

Justin Wrobleski will start for the Dodgers, and looks to continue rolling in his electric start to the season.

Wrobleski has had a great season, but has performed at his best over his last two starts. The first of those appearances came against the Philadelphia Phillies on May 29, where he threw seven one-run innings with nine strikeouts.

He followed that up with six scoreless innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks last week.

Who is in the Dodgers’ Lineup?

Ohtani keeps the top spot for the Dodgers, followed by center fielder Andy Pages and first baseman Freddie Freeman. Shortstop Mookie Betts stays in the cleanup spot, while third baseman Max Muncy remains in the No. 5 spot.

Right fielder Kyle Tucker mans the No. 6 spot once again, followed by left fielder Ryan Ward, catcher Dalton Rushing and second baseman Alex Freeland.
