Dodgers Lineup vs. Reds: Max Muncy, Josue De Paula Out

The Los Angeles Dodgers can clinch the National League West with a win against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday, Sept. 16th.

Dodgers’ Lineup

1. Tommy Edman, CF
2. Mookie Betts, SS
3. Will Smith, C
4. Freddie Freeman, 1B
5. Teoscar Hernandez, DH
6. Miguel Rojas, 2B
7. Kyle Tucker, RF
8. Kike Hernandez, 3B
9. Alex Call, LF

For the game, Josue De Paula gets a rest after playing in every game since his call-up (all five), while Max Muncy also rests, and Miguel Rojas starts after suffering a shoulder injury.

The Dodgers are facing a lefty, so it makes sense for Muncy and De Paul to sit for a game. Additionally, Rojas gets the chance to continue crushing lefties, while Kike Hernandez also gets an appearance to get himself going.

The key men for the Dodgers will be Will Smith, Mookie Betts, and the red-hot Teoscar Hernandez, all of whom have the matchup advantage and the potential to score.

Additionally, Kyle Tucker and Freddie Freeman will look to continue their recent offensive spurts and deliver another strong showing.

Who is pitching for the Dodgers?

The Dodgers get one of their hottest pitchers on the mound, who is capable of shutting down the Reds and helping the Dodgers win even with some key bats out.

Since returning from the IL after elbow surgery on August 11th, Snell has a 1.04 ERA through 34.2 innings. He has 46 strikeouts and 14 walks in that span.

Snell is still looking to showcase some efficiency and longevity, allowing him to go longer into games.

His stuff looks legit, and he is poised to help the Dodgers avoid a ton of contact with the swing-and-miss.
