Dodgers Make Big Changes to Lineup for NLCS Game 2 vs Mets

The Los Angeles Dodgers have revealed a new lineup for Game 2 of the National League Championship Series against the New York Mets. With the left-handed Sean Manaea on the mound, here’s the lineup the Dodgers are sending out:

  1. Shohei Ohtani, DH
  2. Mookie Betts, RF
  3. Teoscar Hernández, LF
  4. Freddie Freeman, 1B
  5. Will Smith, C
  6. Tommy Edman, SS
  7. Max Muncy, 3B
  8. Kiké Hernández, 2B
  9. Andy Pages, CF

The Dodgers are flipping Teoscar Hernández and Freddie Freeman in the lineup with the lefty on the mound. Additionally, Tommy Edman has been moved up to the six-hole, while Andy Pages is starting in center field. Kiké Hernández is starting at second base for the injured Gavin Lux.

On the pitching side, Ryan Brasier is getting the start for L.A. in a bullpen game. However, this bullpen game won’t look exactly like Game 4 of the NL Division Series against the San Diego Padres, as Landon Knack is going to play a huge role in the game. Roberts told reporters that he expects Knack to take down “most of the outs” on Monday.

  1. NOTE TO DAVE ROBERTS: You NEVER NEVER NEVER pitch a rookie in a playoff game especially in Game 2 at home, and up 1-0! Doesn’t CLUELESS Dave realize that teams that win the first 2 games of a playoff series, win the series 86 % of the time? IF LA loses this Mets series, it will once again be because pf Dave Roberts’ “GUT FEELING” decisions! In today’s game he played 3 rookies, Landon Knack, who gave up 5 runs in the 2nd inning; Andy Pages, who struck out 2 times, popped out with runners on in the 6th, and singled weakly in the 8th in 4 at bats, and pitcher, Edgardo Henriquez, who allowed an important 7th Mets run in the 9th. Oh, lest we forget, MOOKIE BETTS has once again disappeared and retreated to his playoff NO HIT IN THE CLUTCH cave…0-4 with 3 K’s today! And enough of Freddie Freeman’s desire to play injured. He was 0-5 and looked awful at the plate. Sit him down, and let healthy players play! Lastly, once the Dodgers got down 6-0, it’s as if Roberts conceded the game. He pitched minor league pitchers for most of the rest of the game. What’s he saving top end relief pitchers for? And, Buehler should’ve started today in Dodger Stadium. A NO BRAINER! It’s a GREAT bet he would NOT have allowed 6 runs in the 1st 2 innings! IF LA loses this series, Roberts MUST BE FIRED! A NEW VOICE with experience MUST be hired. ENOUGH of close, almost, injuries, bad breaks, etc.! ONE WS title in 36-37 years is UNACCEPTABLE to the Dodger fan base! NO MORE EXCUSES!
FACT: Roberts is NOT capable of winning crucial games based on his pre and in-game decisions in the past, and today he proved it again in a KEY ‘MUST WIN’ GAME! MOST baseball people know that under payoff pressure, you NEVER EVER use ROOKIES, especially pitchers who have pitched minimal MLB innings!! In today’s critical game, 2 rookie pitchers (Knack-Henriquez) allowed 6 runs in 3 innings!! ANOTHER ROBERTS (UNFORCED( DECISION- MISTAKE THAT NEVER NEVER EVER SHOULD HAPPEN!!
