Dodgers Make Big Decision For 2025 on Miguel Rojas
The Dodgers have made the decision to pick up Miguel Rojas’ $5 million club option for 2025. Insider Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reported the news on social media.
Rojas was a key member of the Dodgers winning the World Series this year and he will stay with the club. Many members of Los Angeles have spoken about his leadership skills and it seems that the organization didn’t want to lose that.
He hit .283 with six home runs and 36 runs batted in over the long season. The veteran was the primary shortstop for the Dodgers throughout the season as they went through multiple changes within the infield.
Rojas was hobbled during the playoffs but gutted things out to help Los Angeles capture the World Series title. He was left off the National League Championship Series roster due to a nagging torn left adductor that he was playing through.
Rojas aggravated it during Game 3 of the team’s NLDS series with the San Diego Padres. He did play in the World Series and will have his sports hernia surgery this offseason.
Los Angeles needs players like Rojas alongside their three-headed stars so this decision was likely easy for the team. He plays with an electric energy and has become a clubhouse favorite in short order.
