The Los Angeles Dodgers made their final cuts of spring training Sunday, sending Nick Senzel, Jack Suwinski and Seby Zavala to the minors.
The Dodgers are less than a week away from Opening Day, and have officially solidified their 26-man lineup for Thursday with these cuts along with their decision to option Hyeseong Kim to Triple-A. Senzel, Suwinski and Zavala — all of whom are seasoned MLB players — performed well throughout the Dodgers’ spring training campaign, but will have to work their way up through the minors if they want a shot in MLB this year.

Nick Senzel
Senzel has been with the Dodgers since May 2025, when they signed him on a minor league deal following his release from Tecos de los Dos Laredos in the Mexican League.
He had an incredible spring with the Dodgers, slashing .270/.440/.622 with three home runs, 11 RBIs and 11 walks through 20 games. The Dodgers have plenty of depth at third base with Max Muncy, Alex Freeland and Kiké Hernandez all able to play the position. While he may not earn a starting spot on the Dodgers, if they need some depth at the hot corner he could be the answer.
Jack Suwinski
Suwinski, formerly a Top 30 prospect for the Pittsburgh Pirates, found his way to the Dodgers when they claimed him off waivers from the NL Central club Feb. 21.
The outfielder played three games for the Dodgers, but managed a solid run with the team. He hit a home run in each of his games with LA, and had a 2.045 OPS throughout those appearances.
Seby Zavala
Zavala, a five-year MLB vet, was never a favorite to make the Opening Day roster with the Dodgers’ depth at catcher. Will Smith and Dalton Rushing have the spot locked down, and even Rushing has struggled for playing time behind the best catcher in the National League.
The 32-year-old signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers just ahead of spring training, and he played 16 games for the team before his reassignment. He slashed .222/.333/.389 with a homer throughout Cactus League play, but didn’t manage to break into the first team.
With the final round of cuts over, what do you think of the Dodgers’ Opening Day roster?
