Dodgers Make Trade, Send Pitcher to AL Central
The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced a trade. They are sending right-hander Ricky Vanasco to the Detroit Tigers for cash considerations.
For the year, Vanasco has only appeared in two games for the Dodgers, posting an ERA of 13.50 over two innings of work. He has spent most of his time in Triple-A, making 24 appearances.
The right-hander holds an ERA of 3.47 over 23.1 innings in the minors. Vanasco was the first player that the Dodgers signed this offseason.
Vanasco was designated for assignment last week so the Dodgers get some back for him, even if it’s small. With the trade deadline coming up tomorrow at 3 p.m. PT, Los Angeles is exploring different ways to improve the roster.
The team has been looking at upgrading the pitching staff as well as bringing in another bat. The front office has its work cut out for them before the deadline expires.

Explorng? What the heck is there a need to EXPLORE? We need a reliable staring pitcher, a bullpen piece perhaps, and an outfielder that can hopefully play center field so Pages can move to right. Mangement has known THAT FOR MONTHS. THE ONLY THING LEFT TO DO IS MAKE THE TRADES! Explore… what a joke and disappoint me to Dodger fans! (BRUH!)
