Dodgers’ Miguel Rojas Reveals His Wife Predicted His World Series Game 7 Home Run

There’s a strong likelihood Miguel Rojas will not have to pay for another meal or drink again in his life whenever he’s present in the city of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Dodgers infielder — who recently inked a one-year deal to return in what’s expected to be the last season of his career — famously hit a game-tying home run in Game 7 of the 2025 World Series versus the Toronto Blue Jays.

After working a 3-2 count, Rojas unloaded on a Jeff Hoffman slider — pulling the pitch over the left field wall to notch the game at 4-4. Will Smith later hit the go-ahead homer in the 11th inning which proved to be the game-winning run thus clinching a second-straight title for the Boys in Blue.

The theater surrounding the hit was something akin to a Christopher Nolan film. Rojas was likely the last player expected to hit a home run in that spot given his struggles at the plate.

While practically no one expected Rojas to go deep in that fashion, there was one person who was not surprised by the result: his wife Mariana.

In an interview with Doug McKain of Dodgers Nation Rojas revealed that his wife predicted he’d hit a homer at some point in the postseason. Rojas’s confidence was a bit down with a lack of playing time leading up to the crucial Game 7.

Even then, his wife was steadfast in her belief that he’d come up with a homer when given the opportunity to impact the game in a crucial moment.

In the wake of hitting the home run, the married couple rejoiced in the fact that her prediction came true.

There’s a real case to be made that the home run by Rojas is the most impactful and significant home run in the history of the franchise.

Not only did it occur in a Game 7 situation with the team trailing by a run, but it also happened courtesy of a player who’s primarily been a utility man his entire career. His lack of involvement in the postseason up until the final two games of the series is even more mind-blowing.

Most importantly, the homer kept the dream alive for a second-straight World Series — and also by proxy the reality that this team in now in the midst of a legitimate dynasty.
