Former Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Jose Ureña is moving overseas to play for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles.
Ureña featured for the Dodgers three times during the 2025 season, allowing a singular run in three innings pitched.
In other Dodgers news, World Series champion Teoscar Hernández could be on the move after L.A. signed All-Star free agent Kyle Tucker. The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal and Patrick Mooney shared in their latest column.
“Hernández’s name is coming up in trade conversations, according to league sources,” the article reads. “The Dodgers view a deal as unlikely, but the idea of it, at least, is not without logic.”
On top of that, the Dodgers outfield improved mightily after signing Tucker. The outfield was among the biggest needs of improvement for L.A., and now, on paper, that part of the team has vastly improved.
