The Los Angeles Dodgers are in for All-Star outfielder Kyle Tucker, but could avoid the star based on the length of the contract he demands.
Tucker is projected to land a contract spanning 10 or more years, and ESPN’s Alden Gonzalez reports the Dodgers aren’t willing to meet that demand.
Former NFL center Jason Kelce spoke out against the Dodgers and the World Series on his podcast following the Dodgers’ World Series win.
“You’re telling me I’m supposed to get excited about a Canadian baseball team and a team who just spends more money than everybody else?” Kelce said. “Who the f— cares about either?”
“That’s why baseball sucks. You just buy World Series championships… Everybody knew this was going to happen before the season. We just had a bunch of meaningless s— happen before it, then it happened.”
Clayton Kershaw entered retirement after the Dodgers’ World Series win, and shared what he planned to do during retirement.
“I think the biggest thing is I have zero motivation to workout at all. Zero. I just don’t want to do anything,” Kershaw said. “And that usually happens after the season, but slowly but surely you’re like, ‘Alright, I’ve gotta do this to get ready for next season.’ But with no next season, it’s like, I guess I need to start working out because this body can get out of hand really fast. But, right now, no motivation to do that.”
