Dodgers Notes: LA Makes Big Hire, 3 Trade Candidates Named, Ryan Brasier Opens Up on Deal

The Los Angeles Dodgers made a huge hire for their front office bringing in a former general manager of the ball club who took them to two World Series appearances in a row. He also did something on his former team that nobody in the National League West has done since 2012.

As the Dodgers look to do something nobody in MLB has done in a quarter-century — repeat as champions of the baseball world — the roster might actually have too much talent. Three players are listed as a potential trade candidates to get L.A. to a 26-man roster by Opening Day.

A player who was moved as a result of clearing roster space is Ryan Brasier. After a productive 2024 campaign, Brasier was designated for assignment and later traded, leaving him shocked. He spoke out about the deal for the first time.
