The Los Angeles Dodgers have made an offer to free agent outfielder Kyle Tucker as he continues to decide on what team he will sign with.
Tucker is the marquee name on the market, and he just so happens to be a player who lines up at a weak spot for the Dodgers.
While many expected the Dodgers to open the checkbook, the organization has held firm on a high salary, short-term deal, not giving an inch, and has given him a long-term deal.
The wait for Tucker’s decision continues, though it could be resolved soon.
In other news, the Dodgers’ spring training dates were revealed by Dodgers Nation host Doug McKain — pitchers and catchers report for a workout on Friday, Feb. 13.
McKain also reported that the Dodgers’ first full-team workout will come on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
Finally, the Los Angeles Dodgers sent a message to reliever Joe Kelly, celebrating the recently retired pitcher.
Kelly has become ingrained in Dodgers lore, especially with his antics against the Houston Astros and his gutsy relief performances in the playoffs.
