Dodgers Notes: LA Signs Gold Glove Utility Man, Surprisingly DFA Top Prospect
The Los Angeles Dodgers had a busy day on Friday.
First, they made the Teoscar Hernández signing official, bringing back the fan favorite outfielder on a three-year, $66 million deal. While that was happening, though, there were reports that the team was signing Korean infielder Hyeseong Kim. Shortly after the Hernández press conference concluded, the Dodgers made that signing official, too.
With Kim on board, the Dodgers have a three-time Gold Glove award winner to shore up the infield depth. However, to make room for him on the roster, the Dodgers designated a former top prospect for assignment.
