Dodgers Notes: Unfortunate Juan Soto Update, LA Loses Free Agent, Teoscar Hernandez to Return?

The Juan Soto saga got another update on Wednesday, and it wasn’t exactly good news for the Los Angeles Dodgers’ chances. Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reported the Dodgers are “unlikely” to sign Soto this offseason, and the other four major market teams have established themselves as the favorites for the 26-year-old superstar outfielder.

In more concrete news, the Dodgers lost a free agent to the Athletics, who will be playing in a minor league ballpark for the next few seasons.

Also, there are more updates on Teoscar Hernández’s free agency as the Dodgers aim to potentially bring him back on a multiyear deal.

  1. Unfortunate? What’s unfortunate about it? Yeah the guy’s a good player, but nobody seems to want him on the Dodgers, emphatically including me. He’s an outstanding player, but waaaaaaaay too much attitude. That’s good news that the Dodgers seem to be off the list.

  2. Obviously we, as fans, are not aware of everything that is involved in signing a player. However, in my mind, couldn’t the Dodgers sign Teo and Adames for less than it would be to only sign Soto? Again, we, as fans, just don’t know all the facts.

  3. No that is good news! Now sign both Hernandez boys, Treinen, Buehler, and Sasaki! Maybe also Adames.
