The Los Angeles Dodgers secured a series win against the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday, taking an 12-3 victory on the road.
After a quiet few games on the offensive front, the Dodgers finally woke up and scored 10 runs for the first time since June 9.
Justin Wrobleski played a big role in the Dodgers’ win, bouncing back from a couple of early runs to pitch seven innings with three strikeouts. Wrobleski has only allowed four runs this month through 16.2 innings of work.
The Dodgers put themselves on the board first for the second time in the series in the first inning, as a two-out single up the middle from Tommy Edman scored Shohei Ohtani, who led the game off with a walk.
Minnesota levelled the game in the bottom of the second inning, as Victor Caratini hit a solo shot over the left field fence shortly after losing a challenge which would have granted him a walk if he were correct.
Los Angeles cashed in on some dodgy defense in the following half inning, as Tommy Edman came through once again and advanced to second on a throwing error while Freddie Freeman scored from second.

The Twins hadn’t given up yet, though, as they had a solid showing in the bottom of the third. Austin Martin got thrown out at the plate on a Byron Buxton double after he reached via error, but Josh Bell came through for the Twins with an RBI single to tie the game once again.
Another single from Royce Lewis posed a problem for the Dodgers, but Wrobleski managed to navigate his way out of the half inning without any further damage.
The Dodgers took control of the game after the third inning, immediately breaking the game open with a three-run top of the fourth. Ohtani tallied an RBI with a sacrifice fly to score Alex Call, and back-to-back singles from Freeman and Mookie Betts plated the other two runs.
Freeman struck again in the top of the sixth, hitting a one-run double to expand the Dodgers’ lead to four. Chuckie Robinson got his first MLB RBI since 2024 the following inning, when a bunt scored Call for the second time on the night.
The Dodgers had another big inning in the ninth, as Call crossed the plate for a third time on the evening with a solo homer—his first of the season. Miguel Rojas doubled to left field to score Alex Freeland later in the inning, and Andy Pages also logged an RBI by driving in Rojas.
LA loaded the bases later in the inning, and cashed in two more runs with a Max Muncy double.
The Twins scored their final run of the game in the bottom of the ninth through a Brooks Lee solo shot, but were well out of the game by that time.
The Dodgers will look to sweep the series in the finale, which comes Wednesday at 4:40 p.m. PT.
