Dodgers Place 7 Players on IL Ahead of Regular Season

The Los Angeles Dodgers officially moved their sidelined players to the injured list ahead of the regular season Monday.

Tommy Edman moved to the 10-day IL, Brusdar Graterol, Blake Snell, Brock Stewart, Gavin Stone and Landon Knack went to the 15-day IL and Bobby Miller is the sole player who moved to the 60-day IL.

Tommy Edman

Edman underwent ankle surgery towards the beginning of the offseason, and is yet to feature in a game following his recovery.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed this week he expects Edman back by the end of May, but due to his designation on the 10-day, he could very well be back earlier.

Brusdar Graterol

Graterol hasn’t pitched for the Dodgers in a competitive game since 2024, and will have to wait a little longer to make his return to LA. Earlier in spring, Roberts said Graterol’s recovery had been going slower than expected, and he may be out for a little longer.

“I wouldn’t say progress,” Roberts said. “I wouldn’t say a setback. I just think that, you know, right now from what I’ve heard, that we don’t feel in a position to kind of ramp him up,”

“So he’s just playing catch, and I don’t think we’re going to see him on the mound for a little bit longer again.”

Blake Snell

Snell finished the season healthy for the Dodgers, but noted fatigue in his arm following the Dodgers’ long season. Roberts also named Snell as a player who should be back by the end of May.

The left-hander also spent an extensive period on the injured list in 2025, making just 11 starts throughout the season for LA.

Brock Stewart

Stewart came to the Dodgers at the trade deadline in 2025, but made just four appearances before landing on the injured list. He resumed pitching during spring training and expects to make his return before too long.

“Just fastballs only. I think his next pen, he’s going to introduce some breaking balls, but it was really good,” Roberts said

“Arm speed and hand speed were really good, better than I thought. So came in the following day, which was yesterday, and felt good. No residual soreness.”

Gavin Stone

Stone also hadn’t pitched for LA since 2024, but made his return in spring training for the Dodgers and looked great. After just one appearance, though, felt some soreness in the shoulder which he received surgery on.

The Dodgers shut him down afterwards, and haven’t provided a concrete table for his return.

Landon Knack

Knack’s injury isn’t listed on the Dodgers’ official transaction log, but The Athletic’s Fabian Ardaya reports he has an intercostal strain. The Dodgers don’t have a timeline for him either, but expect him to miss at least the first few weeks of the season.

Bobby Miller

Miller wrestled with a shoulder injury throughout spring training, and the Dodgers are clearly having him take it easy as he recovers. This is the second consecutive spring in which Miller hasn’t had much opportunity to pitch, as a comeback struck him and forced him out of the game in his only appearance last spring.
