Dodgers President Provides Massive Update on Dodger Stadium Renovations Timeline
The roster isn’t the only thing being improved this offseason as the home of the Los Angeles Dodgers is in the middle of a $100 million makeover.
At 63 years old, Dodger Stadium certainly doesn’t show its age. The renowned history of the ballpark is evident with every turn, but there are still a few areas to modernize the home of the 2024 World Series champions.
A lot of these changes, however, may not be visible to fans.

Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reported that this current renovation is, “centered on the player facilities, expanding the clubhouses, adding a second indoor batting cage and more space in other areas like the food room and workout area.”
Dodgers president and CEO Stan Kasten also discussed the more tangible changes that are being made.
“It’s going to be state-of-the-art once again,” Kasten said. “It’s going to be 30 percent bigger than it was. The clubhouse alone is going to be 40 percent bigger. Just keeping up with the times, with the new needs of this generation of players.”
It is not surprising that an organization is rewarding its championship-caliber players like this, while also signaling a very welcoming move to all the new talent on the team.
Per Plunkett, this project should be done well before the Dodgers kick off their season in Tokyo against the Chicago Cubs on Mar. 18.

“The project is on schedule to be completed well before the team returns from Japan and hosts the Angels in the first game of the annual Freeway Series on March 23, then the Detroit Tigers for the regular-season home opener on March 27,” Plunkett wrote.
The last time Dodger Stadium was a participant of a change this big was between 2020-21 seeing the center field plaza created while the left and right field pavilions got their share of upgrades. Fans and players alike will soon get to enjoy the improvements for the 2025 campaign as the Dodgers look to become the first repeat champions of the baseball world in a quarter of a century.
