Dodgers Projected to Have Best Pitching Staff, Second-Best Offense in 2026

The Los Angeles Dodgers will soon begin their quest for title No. 10. As things stand, the Dodgers organization has nine titles ,and they are on the verge of becoming the first team to three-peat in a quarter-century.

The Dodgers are without a doubt the winners of the offseason. They shored up their bullpen, adding All-Star closer Edwin Diaz, re-signed two-time champion and World Series hero Miguel Rojas and landed arguably the best free agent outfielder and All-Star, Kyle Tucker.

Los Angeles has gained a lot more than they lost, and because of that, they are projected to have the best pitching staff and the second-best offense this upcoming season. ESPN MLB insider Bradford Dolittle shared why in his latest column.

“As it stands, L.A. projects to have the No. 2 offense and the top pitching staff, both in the rotation and the bullpen. The Dodgers also have the oldest position player group in the majors and could stand to mix in a little youth and athleticism. Both would be accomplished if Alex Freeland and Hyeseong Kim are ready to seize larger roles. Of course, they would also get a little younger and more athletic if they signed Kyle Tucker and found a taker for Teoscar Hernandez.”

Dodgers Resolve Outfield Woes By Adding Kyle Tucker, Eye Dominance in Upcoming Season

Now that L.A. has signed Tucker, the Dodgers have resolved their outfield issues and could very easily be the best offseason in the league this upcoming season.

As far as the 2025 regular season went, the Dodgers’ offense was a dominant force. They finished near the top in runs, OPS, and homers. However, they struggled mightily (by their standards) in the postseason.

The Dodgers experienced a mighty slump in October, particularly in the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays. LA still has the best big three on the offensive side, led by Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, so that is undoubtedly an edge they have on most, if not all, the other 29 teams.

As for the pitching staff, the Dodgers have the best, and they proved that on the biggest stage. The pitching staff may have had their ups and downs as it was plagued by injuries, but once the lights turned brightest, they turned it up.

Starters like Ohtani, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow and Yoshinobu Yamamoto went deep into postseason games and were lights out on most days than not.

The 2025 season for L.A.’s pitching staff started shaky. Many knew they had the talent and skill to be one of the best, and that is certainly the case as the 2026 season approaches, as they proved this past October.

With their pitching and hitting firing on all cylinders, the Dodgers are set up to break records next season and have a strong shot at a three-peat.
