Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani Featured in Multiple High-Profile Commercials This Offseason

What can’t Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani do?

The two-way superstar and multi-time MVP is a once-in-a-lifetime player, and we have witnessed his greatness for the past eight seasons in the MLB. Luckily, for the Dodgers and their fans, they’ve seen his greatness up close for the past two seasons, with eight more to go.

It’s been a pleasure to watch No. 17 night in and night out, and while the stuff he does on the baseball field is magnificent, he’s a lot more talented than people realize. 

Ohtani can do it all, and this offseason, he’s appeared a ton on camera, including four high-profile commercials both domestically and internationally. The 31-year-old has been busy; take a look at how the two-time World Series champion has been winding down. 

Ohtani is undoubtedly the best baseball player on the planet and at this point, the most marketable, especially in his home country of Japan. 

The first commerical, Kirin, which according to the site, is to activate key immue cells called plasmacytoid dendritic cells, which are key drivers of the immune system and stimluate both innate and adpative immune repsonses.

Ohtani was recently appointed Immune Care promotion ambassdaor by Kirin Holdings.

The second commercial is with Japan Airlines. Ohtani has been partnered with them since late 2023/early 2024, featuring him in marketing campaigns. Ohtani and Japan Airlines have a strong relationship, and it’s been key to his endorsement portfolio with them. 

The third commercial is with New Balance, one of his top and most well-known endorsement deals. Ohtani is the face of the brand, particularly on the baseball side. He’s been with the company for roughly three years and has been a pillar in the brand’s growth. 

The fourth and final commercial is for the ECC, a major private English-teaching company, which showcases his fluency in English. Ohtani is the brand ambassador for the company that operates English language schools. Although we see Ohtani speak mainly in Japanese, his English is quite good, regardless of what others may think. 

The four-time MVP can do it all and soon we’ll see the future Hall of Famer enter his third season in Dodger blue.
