The Dodgers signing Bichette appears to be last week’s news as the chances of a deal coming together are no longer high, according to the latest update.

Dodgers Nation’s Doug McKain believes the chances of a deal between the Dodgers and the 27-year-old have completely fizzled.

“I think in the last 24-48 hours, the Dodgers’ chances of signing Bo Bichette have gone from like 40 percent to 30 percent to 20 percent to keeps going down,” McKain said on Dodgers Dougout Live. “It looked like there was some momentum earlier in the week, and now it looks like that has completely fizzled. It came out that Bo Bichette and the Phillies are going to have a meeting. Phillies players are trying to recruit him.

“He’s looking for $300 million and you haven’t seen that report confirmed from by multiple insiders. But if there’s any truth that Bo Bichette is looking for a deal at the $300 million, then in the words of the great Randy Jackson, that’s a no from me dog.”

The Dodgers are reportedly not interested in signing Bichette to a long-term deal, as MLB insider Bob Nightengale reported the team’s interest in the infielder hinges on a short-term deal.

“The Los Angeles Dodgers would gladly sign Bichette if he was interested on a short-term contract,” Nightengale wrote.

It appears Bichette could realistically still land in the National League, only with the Phillies. The NL powerhouse has repeatedly fallen short in October the past few seasons and adding a bat like Bichette’s could be the difference between a first-round exit and a World Series run.

As for the Dodgers, the club doesn’t have an everyday second baseman heading into 2026, but there are plenty of internal options to evaluate at spring training.
