The Los Angeles Dodgers, after keeping the top four spots of their lineup consistent for the past several weeks, finally made a change for their first game of a three-game set against the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Dodgers enter their series against the Phillies the day after a doubleheader, so fatigue is likely a factor in the cycling of some of their key players and veterans. LA won two of their three games against the Yankees during their last series, losing the final game of the set by a score of 2-1 Sunday night.
Who is Pitching for the Dodgers?
The Dodgers have Emmet Sheehan on the mound for the first game of the series, and he will make his first start since the All-Star break. Sheehan has been solid in July after a shaky June, allowing just three earned runs through 9.2 innings pitched.
The Dodgers originally had Sheehan pitching the second game of their series against the Yankees, but pushed him back following Saturday’s rainout.

Shohei Ohtani will lead off for the Dodgers as their designated hitter as expected, and center fielder Andy Pages remains behind him to bat second. Tommy Edman makes a surprise appearance at the No. 3 spot, and will play third base to give Max Muncy some rest after the doubleheader. First baseman Freddie Freeman and shortstop Mookie Betts both move down a spot, filling fourth and fifth, respectively.
Miguel Rojas remains in the lineup to bat sixth as their second baseman, and Teoscar Hernandez will play in left field while batting seventh. Alex Call takes over right field to give Kyle Tucker some rest, and Dalton Rushing comes back in after missing the final game of the series last night.

Who is Pitching for the Phillies?
The Dodgers will get their first look of the season at Cy Young candidate and NL All-Star starter Cristopher Sánchez in the first game of their series. The left-hander is having another great season after finishing runner-up to Paul Skenes in the Cy Young race last season, posting a 2.62 ERA through 20 starts so far.
He has thrown 127.1 innings so far this year, striking out 144 batters during that time.
The Dodgers last faced Sanchez in the NLDS last year, and won both games. They’ll hope for a similar result in Monday’s contest, which begins at 4:10 p.m. PT.

They need to move Pages back down in the order. Edman should play everyday.
