Dodgers Welcome Rams Superstar Myles Garrett to Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Dodgers will be celebrating the addition of Rams star Myles Garrett to the pantheon of LA athletes.

Garrett was recently traded to the Rams from the Cleveland Browns. He owns the single-season sack record in the NFL, and he is a lock to be a first-ballot NFL Hall of Famer.

His impact on the LA sports landscape will be tremendous, and it comes at a true golden age of talent in the city, with teams across the league having marquee names.

To recognize Garrett as a new member of the LA family, the Dodgers are having him throw the first pitch on Saturday vs. the Angels at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers will be in the home leg of the Freeway series after sweeping the Angels at The Big A.

Garrett should be in for quite the crowd on a weekend in the summer, when baseball gets a good deal of buzz.

What can Myles Garrett bring to the city of LA?

As one of the most electric players in football, Garrett will bring dominance on the defensive side of the ball, giving opposing offenses someone to stop on every play.

Also, he is someone with a big personality who has interests in the arts, and LA will be a city where he can tap into that creative side off the field.

“It was surprise. It was a bit of excitement,” Garrett said of coming to the city.

“Being in L.A., I have a lot of roots here and knowing that there’s a winning culture and some great teammates and great coaches here, I was definitely looking forward to the opportunity and God willing, it happened.”
