Former Dodger Could Win 3rd World Series Ring Tuesday Night

A former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher could be the key piece in the Milwaukee Brewers’ pursuit of their first ever World Series title and earn his third ring in the process.

Pitcher Dustin May already has two rings from his time with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and now, he could be the starting pitcher who brings home a ring for the Brewers.

What World Series titles does Dustin May already have?

May won his first World Series in 2020 as a young pitcher for the Dodgers.

He missed the entirety of the 2024 season due to elbow surgery and a torn esophagus, though he returned for 2025.

That year, he was dealt to the Boston Red Sox, though he still got a ring for his contributions after the Dodgers’ dramatic Game 7 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

So while May is ineligible for a personal three-peat, he still can win the third ring of his career, perhaps as soon as Tuesday night.

Dustin May’s chance to make history

May is getting the start for the Brewers Tuesday night, providing him a chance to get the clinching win.

The Brewers have a 3-0 lead against the Tampa Bay Rays, and Monday night’s game was a 10-1 thrashing.

It’s a remarkable opportunity after that 2024 season could have marked the end of May’s career.

“For me, honestly, I’m just going to go and do exactly what I can in the moment and live pitch by pitch … For everything that I’ve been through the last six years, for me, it means more to be here in this moment today knowing two years ago, looking back where I was, I wasn’t really sure if I was ever going to play again,” May said to MLB Network. “So being able to be here in this moment, it truly means the world to me. I couldn’t attribute anything more to the Lord and my wife for letting me be here in this moment, to be here today.”

It’s been a long road back to the World Series for May, but he’s getting another shot.
