Former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Michael Conforto has drawn interest from the Houston Astros this offseason, per MLB.com’s Brian McTaggart.
Conforto, 32, spent the 2025 season as the Dodgers’ starting left fielder. The Astros’ are in search of a left fielder this offseason, as they’ current options in left are Yordan Alvarez and Jose Altuve, but Alvarez predominantly serves as their designated hitter and Altuve is far better defensively in the infield than the outfield.
They have tried to trade infielder Isaac Paredes — the odd man out in a crowded infield — in search of a left-handed bat.

What happened during Michael Conforto’s 2025 season?
The Dodgers signed Conforto to a one-year, $17 million contract ahead of the 2025 season, but he wildly underperformed throughout the season.
The veteran had the worst season of his career with L.A., slashing .199/.305/.333 across 138 games during the season. He stayed as the Dodgers’ everyday left fielder despite his shortcomings and managed to slightly improve towards the latter end of the season, but he still fell well short of his expectations for the season.
Conforto had 12 home runs and 36 RBIs during the season, and recorded a career-low .637 OPS.
He didn’t make a single appearance in the postseason for the Dodgers, as they left him off their postseason rosters.
Who replaced Michael Conforto for the Dodgers??
L.A. didn’t take any chances for the 2026 season, and fetched the best available player on the market to fill their vacancy in the outfield.
They signed Kyle Tucker to a four-year, $240 million deal in Jan., and will move Teoscar Hernandez to Conforto’s old post in left field for the 2025 season.
Tucker, a four-time All-Star, is a huge upgrade for the Dodgers, as he has proven himself as one of the best players in MLB over the past several seasons. He has more than 4.0 bWAR in each of the last five seasons, and has also hit 20 home runs in each of those years.
He is fresh off of a Silver Slugger season with the Chicago Cubs, where he managed 22 homers and 73 RBIs with a .841 OPS while playing through a hand injury.
